AB Enzymes Introduces BIOTOUCH® OSB

AB Enzymes GmbH — a Germany-based manufacturer of enzymes for textiles, pulp and paper, food and beverages, animal feed and specialty applications — has introduced BIOTOUCH® OSB, a high-performance enzyme specifically developed for the biofinishing of cellulosic fabrics under neutral conditions.

According to the company, the enzyme offers strong depilling performance when combined with the dyeing process. AB Enzymes reports that combining the processes reduces water and energy consumption, improves production for more reliable delivery and shortens processing times, resulting in improved convenience and cost savings.

"With Biotouch OSB textile finishers can make high quality fabrics which are smooth and soft, drape better and look like new for much longer while contributing to sustainability and saving costs," said Pentti Ojapalo, business unit manager, Technical Enzymes, AB Enzymes.
