Sawgrass Technologies Debuts Mac OS ChromaBlast-R Printing Solution

The Consumer Division of Sawgrass Technologies Inc. — a Charleston, S.C.-based developer of digital printing technologies — has introduced a ChromaBlast-R printing solution for Ricoh Aficio GX7000 and Ricoh Aficio GX e3300N inkjet printers that is compatible with Apple's Macintosh operating system (Mac OS). The Ricoh Aficio GX7000 and GX e3300N are business-class sublimation printing platforms that deliver up to 144 sublimation transfers per hour.

ChromaBlast-R is a professional heat-transfer ink solution for cotton and cotton-blend fabrics that when paired with the company's ChromaBlast Transfer Media produces vibrant, lasting images with superior look, feel and breathability, according to Sawgrass. The Mac OS solution is designed to work with Adobe® Photoshop®, Illustrator® and Photoshop Elements; and enables Mac users to personalize and customize a variety of cotton transfer products using full-color and photographic images. The printing solution is International Color Consortium (ICC) profile-optimized and includes Sawgrass's Palette Switch Library of preset colors and Proof Palette, which users can use when printing a color-matching swatch booklet. The tools offer exact color matching when used together, Sawgrass reports.
