Mutoh America Introduces New VSM Software, ValueJet 1624W
Phoenix-based Mutoh America Inc. — a manufacturer of wide-format printing solutions including
flatbed and fabric printers, and a subsidiary of Tokyo-based Mutoh Industries Ltd. — has introduced
the latest versions of its ValueJet Status Monitor (VSM), a software application that enables users
to monitor the health and status of their Mutoh ValueJet printers via email or smart phone. The
applications are available free of charge to Mutoh customers.
VSM Mobile Version 1.01 gives status updates as well as notifications of problems in real-time animation on a handheld device. The software offers expanded remote printer monitoring capabilities with features including output status to view current print job process; ink level status; printer status such as "open covers" and "lever up" notifications; and email alerts warning of low ink levels and full waste tanks. In addition, Version 1.01 soon will enable users to check the part life of their printers, Mutoh reports. The software is available online for select ValueJet printers, and requires installation of VSM Version 3.04.
Mutoh also has debuted the ValueJet 1624W, a 64-inch textile and dye sublimation printer for printing on custom clothing, promotional items, trade show graphics, flags, banners, displays and interior design, among other products. The 1624W is designed to print using water-based and dye-sublimation transfer inks at speeds up to 600 square feet per hour with a maximum resolution of 1400 dots per inch. Features include an easily navigable control panel, convenient maintenance door and sheet off function. The printer also features the company's VSM software application and the Intelligent Interweave (I2) print technique to eliminate banding.
