CYP To Expand Operations in Tryon, N.C., Add 23 Jobs
Fendrich Industries Inc. — a Greenville-based manufacturer of textiles and printed fabrics — will
invest $740,000 to expand its Carolina Yarn Processors Inc. (CYP) division's operations in Tryon,
N.C., adding 23 jobs over the next three years.
CYP bleaches and dyes man-made fiber yarns for weavers of home furnishings fabrics. It currently employs more than 40 people at its Tryon facility.
In addition to CYP, Fendrich Industries operates two other divisions: Carolina Manufacturing Co., a Greenville-based bandanna manufacturer also doing business as The Bandanna Co.; and Union County Printworks, a Union, S.C.-based commission fabric printer.
"Fendrich purchased Carolina Yarn Processors in 1986 and Tryon has been a great place for doing business," said David Moore, president, Fendrich Industries. "Our company has many dedicated long-term employees at CYP and we look forward to increasing employment in Polk County."
The company has received a $115,000 grant from the One North Carolina Fund to assist it with the expansion.
