ACTON, Mass. — October 8, 2012 — The 2013 Citroën DS3 Cabrio features a special soft-top, monogrammed with the DS3 logo. As a result of jacquard weaving technology from The Haartz Corporation, this unique topping option is now available to automakers. The 2013 Citroën DS3 Cabrio debuted at the Paris Motor Show in September.

The monogram topping option offers automakers highly customized imagery with adjustable weave patterns and color combinations.  As many as three distinct colors of yarn can be combined into an infinite number of weave patterns and color combinations, while maintaining the integrity of the fabric coating and finish.

The monogrammed topping is offered in addition to black and Infini blu.  The black and Infini blu feature materials from Haartz's Twillfast line, an acoustically enhanced composite made of acrylic, rubber and polyester.  The monogrammed topping is comprised from the Sonnenland A5B material which is also made of an acrylic twill weave outer fabric, a rubber inner layer and a polyester lining fabric.

A full-range of customizable laminates allows Haartz to meet the strictest OEM specifications and design targets with lower-cost engineering and manufacturing, compared to retractable hardtop designs. Haartz laminates give the automaker the ability to maintain the distinctive appearance of open-air vehicles, top up or down.
