Crypton Introduces Crypton Wall Fabric

West Bloomfield, Mich.-based Crypton Inc. — manufacturer of Crypton Super fabric, a stain-, odor- and microbe-resistant technology for outdoor fabric, mattress fabric, carpeting and leather, among other applications — has introduced Crypton Wall fabric for wall coverings, panel systems and partitions.

Crypton Wall fabric features the company's patented performance technology and is GREENGUARD Select Certified℠ to have ultra-low or no volatile organic compound emissions, and is free of perfluorooctanoic acid. It also meets Class A flame retardancy standards.Use of the fabric in commercial buildings contributes to the U.S. Green Building Council's Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design for Commercial Interiors (LEED®-CI) credits.

"Our customers told us they wanted an alternative to vinyl for wall treatments, for a myriad of reasons, but fabric was previously problematic because of potential staining," said Randy Rubin, president, Crypton. "Mixing stain resistant, flame retardant, low emission and eco-friendly fibers is not an easy task — but we did it."

Crypton reports the wall fabric, which may be easily cleaned with an enzyme detergent or soap and water, is especially suitable for healthcare and hospitality applications.
