Switzerland-based HeiQ Materials AG — a manufacturer of silver composite additives and high-performance, sustainable textile finishes — and Germany-based Rudolf GmbH — a manufacturer of sustainable textile auxiliaries for sizing, pretreatment, dyeing and finishing — have partnered to offer their durable water-repellent technologies under the Barrier brand.

Barrier technologies offer sustainable water, oil and stain repellency for outerwear fabrics. The new joint portfolio includes environmentally-friendly fluorine-free dendrimer, 3-D hyperbranched coral-like polymer technologies, and clean C6- and C8-based fluorines; and will include more coating technologies in the future, the companies report.
