Picanol Of America To Inaugurate New Headquarters In SC-TAC, Greenville
Picanol of America Inc., the U.S. subsidiary of Belgium-based weaving machinery manufacturer
Picanol NV, has announced that on March 21, 2013, it will inaugurate its new, 18,500-square-foot
headquarters in the South Carolina Technology & Aviation Center (SC-TAC) in Greenville. The
company first announced in July 2012 that it would move its headquarters to a larger facility to
accommodate its expanded sales, machine repair and replacement parts operation

"We have enjoyed the strength of the US weaving industry and we have suffered with our friends and customers over the last decade," said Cyril Guerin, president, Picanol of America. "However, we know the US weaving industry is still full of potential and to makes sure we are best positioned to provide assistance to our customers, we have invested in a new building."
Picanol first opened an office in 1967 to serve its U.S. customers, and incorporated under the name Picanol of America Inc. and moved to Greenville in 1971. During the inaugural celebration for its new headquarters, the company will also celebrate its 50-plus years serving the U.S. market. Picanol Group CEO Luc Tack also will be on hand to celebrate the company's success and recognize one of its customers for its installation of a state-of-the-art OMNIplus Summum air-jet weaving machine.
The new headquarters facility will be located at 65 Kitty Hawk in SC-TAC; and will include a warehouse, mechanical and electronic workshops, training room and showroom.
