Alexium Expands Sales Into Wool Markets, Agrees To Co-branding For Commercialization Of Certain Products For The Middle East And Europe

PERTH, Australia, — October 7, 2014 — Alexium is pleased to announce that it has received purchase orders for initial sales of Alexium chemistry for the flame retardant (FR) wool market. This industry accounts for more than ten million yards of fabric per year in the United States alone, and it is a market that currently in need of a non-halogenated, eco friendly FR treatment. The development of this new chemistry could represent a multi-million dollar annual opportunity for Alexium.

In other company news, Alexium is pleased to announce that it has agreed to co-brand joint products with iTextiles under a new brand name that is currently being developed. The new fabrics that iTextiles will create and Alexium will treat with their flame retardant chemistries will be used primarily in the workwear market and will be sold in Europe and the Middle East. This agreement will lead to a recognizable brand name in the markets we are pursuing, and it secures our future relationship with iTextiles, a leading textile trading company based in Pakistan.
