Value Systems Form Group-Purchasing Company

Value Systems Inc., Gastonia, N.C., recently announced the formation of a joint venture with UniStar LLC, Louisville, Ky.The new company will be called United Sourcing Alliance LLC.Value Systems will continue to manage the 42-member American Textile Purchasing Association (ATPA) assisting textile manufacturers in reducing total costs of purchased products and services.United Sourcings first phase activities will be group purchasing for several industry leaders including Burlington Industries, CollinsandAikman, Guilford Mills, Greenwood Mills, HarrietandHenderson Yarns, National Spinning Co. and Pharr Yarns.United Sourcing Alliance will facilitate the process of combining the purchasing power of major companies to deliver significant value to their bottom lines through reduced pricing and value-added services from competitive service-oriented suppliers, said J.C. Rice, president of United Sourcing. Costs for these companies will be significantly improved to help combat a very competitive global market."
