Montell Introduces Reactor-Grade Polypropylene
Montell Polyolefins, Wilmington, Del., has launched a new line of reactor-grade polypropylenes
designed for uses including injection-molding spunbond and meltblown applications.The company
unveiled four polypropylene copolymers as part of its initial phase. These copolymers have a
melt-flow rate from 35 to 100 units. The company says homopolymer grade will be available next year
for meltblown applications with melt-flow rates up to 1,700 units.The four grades launched in the
initial phase are Pro-fax SC973, Pro-fax SG982, Pro-fax SG853 and Pro-fax SG833.
