Avebe Introduces Starch-based Printing Thickeners

Avebe BA, the Netherlands, has introduced three new printing thickeners for reactive dye printing. The products are marketed as Solvitose RX 60, Solvitose CRD 40 and Solvitose CRD 30.According to the company, the new products have been tested extensively in a number of textile printing mills worldwide. The results showed that the new thickeners have excellent fixation of the dyes, very high color yield and good levelness of the print. The tests also showed that the thickeners had very good wash-off and there was little effect on the hand of the printed textile. The new starch thickeners were designed to avoid the problems caused by alginate thickeners.
