Filtration '99 Showcases The Best Of Filtration Technology
More than 2,000 people attended the
conference and exhibition of Filtration '99, sponsored by INDA (Association of the Nonwoven Fabrics
Industry) held at Chicago's Navy Pier from November 2-4, 1999.
According to Ted Wirtx, president INDA: "This is clearly the largest and most important show in its kind in the world. Its importance is reflected in its continued growth year after year."
Keynote speaker Robert W. McIlvaine, president McIlvaine Co., said: "The present world market for roll goods is $4.2 billion, whereas the market for filter elements is $17 billion. There is a $50-billion equipment market.
"When one adds the potential for turnkey services and complementary equipment the market is over $100 billion. Expansion into components such as pumps adds another $26-billion potential."
