Woolrich Sponsors Effort To Recover World War II Planes
Woolrich Inc., Woolrich, Pa., has
announced the sponsorship of a group making a two-phase trip to Greenland in a retrieval attempt of
two B-17 planes lost in World War II. If retrieved, the planes will be returned to the United
States and serve as the centerpiece of the "Ultimate Sacrifice Memorial" in Blue Ash, Ohio.
Members of the expedition will be wearing Woolrich's Expedition Parka and Pant, featuring the new Diaplex membrane. Diaplex is an advanced waterproof/ breathable membrane that adjusts automatically to changes in temperature. The members feedback will help to improve the design, functionality and performance of Diaplex.

"Outfitting the crew on their missions gave us tremendous opportunity to test ou new technical wear under some of the most adverse real-world conditions."
