Pantone® Colors Available In Datacolor Color-Matching Software

A cooperative agreement between Datacolor International, Lawrenceville, N.J., and Pantone Inc., Carlstadt, N.J., has made the PANTONE Color libraries available in Datacolor’s color-matching software and color quality control systems for the industries of paint, plastics, ink and printing and textiles.

“The support for PANTONE Colors in this leading-edge color-matching software and quality control system enhances users’ ability to specify, communicate and accurately reproduce colors using the worldwide standard language of color,” said Richard Herbert, executive vice president, Pantone.

The partnership ensures PANTONE Color samples are accurately measured on Datacolor instruments. “If a manufacturer or color supplier receives a request to submit a match specified as a PANTONE Shade, they can retrieve the reflectance data from the library instead of measuring the sample,” said David Crozier, president and CEO, Datacolor International.
