Lanscot-Arlen Undergoes Management-Led Buyout

Senior management of New York City-based Lanscot-Arlen Fabrics Inc. and Atlanta-based Equity Capital Partners have acquired all assets and businesses of Lanscot-Arlen and Wilmington Piece Dye Co., Wilmington, Del. Former owners Saul Nulman and Glenda Kirby, who led Lanscot for more than 30 years, are assisting in the transition.Clement Ramdin, former chief of operations, Lanscot-Arlen, became CEO of the company. Robert Woodcock, formerly head of sales and marketing, was named president.Lanscot-Arlen supplies yarn-dyed, piece-dyed and printed jacquards, sheers, burn-outs, organzas, silks and other technically advanced novelty fabrics for draperies, bedding, furniture, table linens and apparel. Wilmington Piece Dye provides specialty continuous dyeing, finishing and embossing services for apparel and home furnishings. The two companies have worked in partnership over many years to produce new product lines. Wilmington will continue to operate as an independent contract finishing house.
