The Dixie Group Acquires Fabrica International

The Dixie Group Inc., Chattanooga, Tenn., recently acquired the privately held, high-end carpet and rug maker Fabrica International, Santa Ana, Calif., and its interest in Chroma Systems Partners dyeing and finishing operations. The acquisition of Fabrica is an excellent fit with our strategy to grow profitably in selective floor-covering markets, said Daniel K. Frierson, chairman, Dixie Group. Fabricas more than 25 years of experience in developing, manufacturing and marketing highly styled and designed residential products will significantly strengthen our position in the upper end of the carpet market.Fabricas strong track record in sales and profitability growth is expected to be a significant contributor to The Dixie Groups growth and financial goals.
