New Touch-Screen Technology Introduced

United Kingdom-based William Tatham Ltd., in conjunction with United Kingdom-based Quin Systems, has developed a touch-screen monitor display for the latest generation of the TMC Crosslapper machines. The touch-sensitive display monitor has been developed to ensure operators are in control of the manufacturing process, giving vital site production information in real time at the touch of a button. The system is equipped with an Ethernet connection, and information can be downloaded to other computers or networks within the loop. The monitor also features an integrated security function in which passwords are used to prevent data access by personnel other than system administrators.
