Maag-Textron Agrees To Acquire Wil-Man GmbH

Switzerland-based Maag Pump Systems Textron, a division of Textron Fluid Handling Products, has entered into an agreement to acquire Wil-Man GmbH, a German manufacturer of screen changers and polymer filtration equipment. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed, and the transaction is subject to German regulatory approval.The strong reputation of Wil-Man in the screen-changer market, combined with our well-known Maag gear pumps, will strengthen our position in the extrusion market worldwide, said Frank Brinken, CEO, Maag Pump Systems Textron. The Wil-Man acquisition broadens the Maag Pump Systems Textron product offering to the polymer producers and processors, he continued.All Wil-Man employees will be integrated into Maag-Textrons existing structure in Germany. Manufacturing for the U.S. market will be transferred to Maags new facility in Charlotte, N.C.
