It also offers anti-microbial, anti-mildew, anti-static, flame-retardant, absorptive, water repellent and abrasion-resistant properties.CYP Technologies, a partnership of DavisandDavis Rugs, Chattanooga and Burtco, Dalton, purchased assets of Tapistron International at bankruptcy auction. Included were two computerized yarn replacement machines.Great American Knitting Mills, Burlington, purchased the assets of Ridgeview, including inventory, intangible assets and intellectual property. Fruit of the Loom announced it will use Zellweger Uster systems in its renovation of the Leesburg (Ala.) Plant. Quantum Yarn Clearers will be installed on all Rieter R20 open-end spinning machines, making this the largest installation of this type in the world. Uster SliverGuard will be installed at the drawing process and the process will be completed with a Uster yarn-testing laboratory.Giati Designs, Santa Barbara, Cal., introduced the Spa Collection of indoor/outdoor decorative fabrics. Fabrics are of 100% solution-dyed acrylic yarns.Kennenbunk Weavers, Bedford, N.H., contracted to produce decorative throws for Wavery, New York City. PPG Industries Fiber Glass Products, Shelby, N.C., and Lenzing Fibers Corp., Lowland, Tenn., recently purchased Delta T Moisture Control Systems from Batson YarnandFabrics Machinery Group. Precision Fabrics Group, Greensboro, received a U.S. patent for its allergen barrier fabrics. The fabrics are tightly woven of yarns selected for softness, comfort and durability.Royal-American Co., Stanley, N.C., offers RoyalBrite, a solution-dyed T6 nylon yarn for the industrial textile market. A matching natural yarn will be offered this month. In RoyalBrite, individual fibers are integrated more tightly into the yarn structure, giving fabrics produced from the yarn better abrasion resistance.Russell Corp., Alexander City, Ala., named Roi T. Johnson vice president of employee relations. He is responsible for employee relations planning at the Alabama facilities.San Mao Group, Xin Qiao town, Jiang Yin City, China, purchased 72 G6300 rapier weaving machines from Suzler Textil. This will give the plant 122 of the machines, all less than two years old. The company produces fabrics from shear wool yarns.H.
