He is survived by his wife Diane (Mueller) Hoisel Wanger.Wanger was a principal in Wanger International, a journalist writing and consulting firm. His articles on color and fashion trends regularly appeared in various textile publications including ATI. He most recently co-wrote with his wife Diane a review of Bobbin Americas 2000 (See Reshaping the Apparel Industry, ATI, November 2000).Wanger began his career as a singer, performing at various clubs and theaters around the United States. After serving in World War II, he returned to show business, but left it again to marry Joyce Forbes. Forbes was a successful shoe stylist and Wanger helped run her New York City business. After Forbes death, he married fashion model Martha Crowder and with her formed Wanger Concepts, expanding the firm into color and fashion consulting along with shoe design.
