Stoll39 S PTS Provides Enhanced Reliabilty Patterning Possibilities

Germany-based H. Stoll GmbHandCo. has introduced a new power tension setting (PTS) for its CMS knitting machines of the TC generation. The PTS allows considerably faster changes of dynamic stitch tension than have previously been possible within a knitted fabric. Stitch tension changes can be implemented over a small number of needles, enhancing running reliability of patterns and allowing new patterning possibilities using different knitting methods within one knitted course.PTS operating software interacts with optimized functional and actuating characteristics. There is also increased clocking frequency of the step motors. These features allow the number of needles required for adjustment to be reduced by up to 70 percent. The PTS allows flexibility in the number of stitch tension zones implemented within a single course. The system automatically compensates for changes in knitting speed, and it is possible to knit extremely narrow zones with a different stitch tension. New style patterning effects are also possible.
