DuPont Opens Digital Textile Printing Technology Center

DuPont, Wilmington, Del., has opened a 12,000-square-foot Artistri Technology Center (ATC) in Charlotte, N.C., to provide customer support, demonstrations, training and service in support of its digital textile printing technology offering. The ATC will serve as the global demonstration center for the DuPont Artistri technology and the DuPont Ink Jet 3210 printer introduced in January (See Dyeing, Printing and Finishing News, ATI, February). At ATC, customers will be able to print samples on their fabrics using their own design files. The ATC also offers full analytical testing, including wet- and dry-crock, and light- and wash-fastness tests. The Artistri Technology Center will serve as a showcase for our digital printing capabilities, as well as a state-of-the-art technical support, training and after-sales service facility, said Walter Kleinberg, global sales and service manager, textile, DuPont Ink Jet. As our digital printing business grows, we will look to add additional technology centers around the world.
