Turkish Firm Buys 310 Batch Winders

TURKISH FIRM BUYS 310 BATCH WINDERSTurkish weaver Isko Textile Industry ManufacturingandTrading Co. has ordered 310 fabric batching units from Willy Grob, Switzerland. The batchers will serve the firms installation of 178 in-place and 132 new projectile weaving machines.Willy Grob, based at Eschenbach, said the new order based on the successful operation of 276 earlier units installed by the firm to wind its medium-to-heavy cotton fabrics.Operating with360- and 390-cm wide looms, the batch winders are able to accommodate a 1,500-mm dia. cloth roll weighing 2,500 kg.November 2001
