German Firm39 S Spunlace Units Selling Well

GERMAN FIRM'S SPUNLACE UNITS SELLING WELLFleissner, Germany, claims it is leading the field of spunlace technology with its AquaJet lines for nonwovens production. Seven of the lines have been sold in the first half of this year, taking the installed total of these machines to more than 40. Latest buyers are in Western Europe, Eastern Europe, Middle East, Far East and South America.Fleissner said some of the new lines were designed to produce lightweight webs in direct combination with carding units, while others were for use with cards and crosslappers for heavier products. All the new lines were supplied with Fleissner high-capacity through-air dryers. In two cases, an additional inline impregnation or printing stage and subsequent thermobonding was integrated.October 2001
