Lectra PresentsCustomized Vector Cutting SystemsParis-based Lectra has introduced a line of customized Vector cutting systems that provide solutions for eight specific market segments: VectorDenim, VectorFashion, VectorFurniture, VectorLuggage, VectorFootwear, VectorAuto, VectorComposite and VectorTechTex. Lectra claims the new systems enable significantly increased production and shortened time-to-market, as well as material savings and reduced production costs.Each Vector system is integrated into the Optiplan management system, which considers all elements of production in order to optimize costs and develop reliable production forecasts.Features include: new options for Internet and Intranet communication and for remote maintenance via access to Lectras International Call Centers; a redesigned, more ergonomic and intuitive user interface; a new driver adapted to market-sector-specific geometric shapes and materials; a customized cutting head; and sector-specific software functions.
