Disperstat Eliminates Static

Disperstat Eliminates StaticUnited Kingdom-based Stephenson Thompson Textile Chemicals has introduced Disperstat, an antistatic product that eliminates static at all stages of the manufacturing process.Disperstat is effective on both staple and continuous filament natural and man-made fibers, fabrics, knitwear, soft furnishings, carpets and nonwovens. The hand of the product is not affected, and static-attracting fibers such as wool, acrylic and polyester are effectively treated with low amounts of Disperstat, according to the company.Rapid decay of static allows maximum efficiency of high-speed processing machines. Disperstats antistatic properties do not require atmospheric moisture for activation, and the product works efficiently even in low-temperature conditions. February 2002
