Avondale's Product Portfolio Diversified and quality-oriented, Avondale seeks to provide its customers with products that will allow them to earn a profit. Our strategy is to be diversified with many products; while, at the same time, we must stick to what we know we can do well for our customers, said G. Stephen Felker, chairman, president and CEO. Yarn

One of the largest consumers of cotton in the country, Avondale also is one of the nations top producers of sales yarn. The company spins and supplies open-end, ring-spun, heathered, and stock-dyed cotton yarns. Greige Fabrics
Walton's greige fabrics are used in a variety of finished products, including sportswear, tennis shoes, luggage, draperies and tablecloths.Walton Fabrics produces greige fabrics, just as it did more than 100 years ago, for customers in the home furnishing, industrial and apparel markets. Bottomweight FabricsAvondales bottomweight business incorporates several plants that manufacture utilitywear, denim, apparel and sportswear fabrics. Avondale weaves poplins, twills, canvases, cords, oxfords and herringbones from combed, plied, ring-spun and open-end yarns.Producing 250 million square yards of denim fabric per year, Avondale is one of the worlds largest manufacturers of denim. Styles include yarn-dyed fabrics in fashion colors, as well as traditional indigo and black denims.
The Duckhead® T-shirt, Kellwood® jacket made for L.L. Bean, and Ralph Lauren jeans are manufactured using Avondale fabrics. Even the rubber boots from LaCross Footwear® are lined with fabric from Walton Fabrics. Specialty Products
Coated fabrics from Woodhead are used in various products, including boat covers and personal flotation devices.Avondale focuses on two areas within its Woodhead Specialty Products division. The first coated fabrics includes products for awnings, tents, life vests, boat covers and recreational vehicles. The second, located at the Warren facility, garment-dyes fleece and knitted apparel for customers. Avondales thrust is to differentiate itself from foreign and domestic competition through product quality and service, said Keith Hull, corporate vice president and president, Marketing and Sales. We view service in its grandest sense, which would include on-time delivery, as well as sales support. June 2002
