Savio: Winding Its Way Around The World

In 2002, Savio saw its greatest growth in the Middle East and Asia.

TW Special Report

I n 2002, Italy-based Savio Machine Tessili S.p.A. obtained ISO:9001/ VISION 2000 certification. In addition, Savio reported successful sales of its ORION winder, especially to companies in the Middle East and Asia.

"Savio's strategy is not the outcome of improvisation, but the rational development of a design that began at ITMA in Paris and which has gradually taken on shape and size thanks to teamwork," said Daniele Pellissetti, order administrator director. "Savio fully realizes that its mission is to supply a highly original product to the world textile industry," said Pellissetti.

Each ORION winder uses the Computer Aided Package (C.A.P.®) system to maintain control and tension to produce a consistent package during winding. ORION is available in four models: E, I, L and M.

Pellissetti provided Textile World with information about some of Savio's latest installations.
