Koch Subsidiaries To Acquire INVISTA

Koch Subsidiaries To Acquire INVISTAKED Fiber Ltd. and KED Fiber LLC, subsidiaries of Koch Industries Inc., Wichita, Kan., and DuPont, Wilmington, Del., have reached agreement on the purchase of INVISTA Inc. DuPonts fiber and intermediates subsidiary by the Koch subsidiaries. The deal, worth $4.4 billion, is expected to close in the first half of 2004. The purchase includes all Invista businesses, trademarks and brands; in addition to more than 8,000 patents and proprietary intellectual property. Koch plans to integrate its Houston-based KoSa polyester business and its subsidiaries into Invista.The new company will operate as an independent subsidiary of Koch Industries. December 2004
