Burlington Industries Inc., Greensboro, N.C., has appointed Joseph L. Gorga executive vice president, North American operations. In addition, Burlington has expanded the duties of Peter Liu, president, Burlington WorldWide, Hong Kong, to include all global commercial activities for apparel fabrics. Jim Sells has been named vice president, global operations support.

Mt. Olive, N.J.-based BASF Corp. has named Donald J. McGrath vice president, corporate communications for North America. Tim Blount has been promoted to manager, marketing, Commercial Carpet Fiber Products, at the company’s Dalton, Ga., location.

Saurer Inc., Charlotte, has named Mac Lattam senior vice president of sales for Barmag and Neumag equipment, North America.

Honeywell, Morris Township, N.J., has named Tony DiLucente vice president, Carpet Fibers.

Collins & Aikman Corp., Troy, Mich., has appointed Christopher J. Richard senior vice president, global commercial fabric sales and product design.

The Textile Rental Services Association of America (TRSA), Alexandria, Va., has appointed Richard H. Ekfelt president and CEO.



Jürgen Dormann, chairman of the board, ABB Group, Switzerland, has assumed the additional title of CEO. In addition, the Power Technology Products and Utilities divisions have been merged to form Power Technologies, led by Peter Smits. The Automation Technology Products and Industries divisions also have been merged to form Automation Technologies, led by Dinesh Paliwal.
