Batson Sells Fehrer Loom, Receives Scopeman® Contract
Batson Group Inc., Greenville, recently sold a Fehrer Needle Loom NL/21 to Darlington, S.C.-based
HRS bought the NL/21 as part of a project to modernize its 125,000-square-foot production facility and expand its product line, according to HRS founder Harley S. LeMaster. The machine is a high-speed double needle board machine that is used to produce felts, filters, blankets, floor and wall coverings, geotextiles and synthetic leathers.
Batson also has been named North American representative for Japan-based Shinwa's Scopeman® CCD video microscope. Scopeman is used to make detailed inspections of fabrics, as well as to aid in inspections of machine parts and medical specimens. Details can be captured into a downloadable computer file.
