Dan River Makes Organizational Changes

Dan River Makes Organizational ChangesDanville, Va.-based Dan River Inc. has announced personnel promotions and a streamlining of its organizational structure. The actions are related to the pending retirement of Richard L. Williams, who recently moved from the position of president and COO to vice chairman and will retire in late December of this year.

Thomas L. Muscalino, formerly president, Home Fashions Division, has been named president and COO. Daniel A. Hammer has been promoted to executive vice president, sales and marketing, Home Fashions, from his former position as senior vice president, sales and marketing, Home Fashions for Kids.In addition to the personnel changes, Dan River has consolidated all finance and accounting functions under Barry F. Shea, executive vice president and CFO; and all manufacturing under Greg R. Boozer, executive vice president, manufacturing. Previously, the controller and manufacturing functions of each of the companys three divisions reported directly to the divisions president. October 2003
