SATO Presents Total RFID Solutions, Allies With SAMSys

SATO America Inc., Charlotte, reports it now can deliver the industry’s first complete multi-protocol Electronic Product Code (EPC)-compliant radio frequency identification (RFID) solutions for customer pilots and beta tests. The solutions encompass preplanning consultation, on-site survey, pilot planning and implementation, and post-pilot consultation and customer service.

SATO’s complete solutions include its new CL408e and CL412e UHF RFID printers, which use multi-protocol RFID read/write technology that supports EPC Class 1 ISO 18000 and EM Marin protocols, as well as Federal Communications Commission-compliant multi-frequency technology. The printers can be upgraded to support new standards and protocols for future versions of RFID tags.

SATO has formed an alliance with Canada-based RFID hardware solutions provider SAMSys Technologies Inc. to manufacture RFID readers for the printers.
