Batson Announces Twistechnology Sales In US

Batson Group Inc., Greenville, has sold six twisting machines from Spain-based Twistechnology to three US companies, including four machines to Coats North America, Hendersonville, N.C.; one to Gates Corp.’s Automotive Technical Center, Rochester Hills, Mich.; and one to Cortland Cable, Cortland, N.Y.

Twistec technology involves the use of individual spindle drives to provide operating flexibility. Changes in twist direction, twist multiples, and spindle and feed roll speeds at each spindle are made via the machine’s liquid crystal display without requiring mechanical changes.
