Nilit Introduces Sensil® ESP, Sensil Bodyfresh

Israel-based Nilit Ltd. has launched two new yarns: Sensil® ESP and Sensil BodyFresh.

ESP, which stands for extra Sensil protection, offers protection from the sun with ultraviolet (UV) protection factors (UPFs) ranging from 15+ up to 50+. According to Nilit, when used in a tightly woven fabric, the yarns meet tough UPF criteria including the Australian AS/NZS 4399 standard for UV-protective clothing.

"As consumer awareness grows, manufacturers will be able to meet the increasing need for UV-protection clothing throughout the extensive range of ESP yarns," said Oded Breier, marketing manager, Nilit Fibers.

Nilit's Sensil BodyFresh is a fine microfiber antibacterial yarn that prevents the growth of a variety of bacteria. According to the company, fabrics can withstand more than 20 wash cycles without losing the antibacterial properties because the antibacterial additive is incorporated into the polymer.
