The Industrial Fabrics Foundation , Potomac, Md., will hold a silent auction at the Industrial Fabrics Association International (IFAI) Expo — to be held Oct. 27-29 in Pittsburgh — to raise funds for college scholarships it awards annually to employees of IFAI member companies and their children, and students enrolled in accredited college and university textile programs. Effective April 1, The Dow Chemical Co. , Midland, Mich., has increased the price of styrene/butadiene latex, styrene acrylate latex and solid plastic pigment products by 2 cents per dry pound in the United States and Canada. The company also has increased the price of its MAGNUM™ acrylonitrile butadiene styrene resins and TYRIL™ styrene-acrylonitrile resins by 3 cents per pound throughout North America.

The Memphis, Tenn.-based National Cotton Council is accepting applications for its 2004-05 Cotton Leadership Class through July 1. Information is available at http://leadership. cotton.org.

The American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists (AATCC) , Research Triangle Park, N.C., has released its Technical Supplement, a collection of 26 documents covering textile product procedures and guidelines developed by its Consumer 2 Consumer committee in conjunction with the ASTM Committee D13 on Textiles. AATCC also has made all of its test methods available for purchase at the Products/Test Method section of its website, www.aatcc.org.
