Fehrer Achieves Global Sales Success

Textilmaschinenfabrik Dr. Ernst Fehrer AG, Austria, has announced successful sales to various companies around the world.

A Russian firm has purchased a complete waddings production line with a working width of 3.6 meters. The line consists of a fiber preparation system from Erko, Germany; an aerodynamic V21/R-K12 unit with high-loft; and a Fleissner thermo-bonding system.

Fehrer also has concluded a contract with Hong Kong-based Speedclass to supply a V21/R-K12 system with high-loft for the production of waddings, insulation, mattresses and other webs in weights of more than 4,000 grams per square meter.

An automotive textiles company in Turkey has purchased a finish needling machine and a NL 21/SRV Superlooper with PP75 needle distribution. The new machinery will enable the company to expand its production capacity.

In addition, Fehrer said several customers in Japan have invested in new needle looms, a sign that a recovery of the Japanese economy is underway.
