Benz Unveils TT2100 Tensile Tester

Benz Materials Testing Instruments, Providence, R.I., now offers the TT2100 tensile tester to measure tensile properties of textiles, leather and rubber; and evaluate their tear and peel strength, adhesion, coefficient of friction, burst, proofload and stress relaxation. According to the company, the compact instrument can display on a computer screen real-time force and elongation as these values change, and can print these values on X and Y axes to allow further study of testing results. The TT2100 tests at levels ranging up to 225 pounds (lb), and models are available with capacities of up to 10,000 lb. Grips for various materials also are available, as are adapters, fixtures, high-elongation extensometers and temperature chambers.
