Knitting / Apparel

National Spinning Purchases Terra Knits

National Spinning Co. Inc., New York City, has acquired Hoboken, N.J.-based Terra Knits, and merged it into its El Salvador-based subsidiary Fuente Apparel LLC. Terra Knits, renamed Fuente NJ, will continue to operate in Hoboken, and will offer quick-turn sampling, design and knitting services to US customers.

Fuente Apparel, a vertical manufacturer from fiber to garment — primarily sweaters — offers full-package services including production and marketing. The company uses yarns chiefly spun in the United States by National Spinning, as well as other yarns spun domestically and in the Central America-Dominican Republic Free Trade Agreement region.
