SML Installs Two Cast Film Extrusion Demonstration Lines

Austria-based SML Maschinengesellschaft mbH has installed two lines for cast film extrusion to provide demonstrations to its customers.

A cast film line for copolypropylene, copolyethylene terephthalate and copolyamide film can extrude 1,400 kilograms per hour (kg/hr) and includes one Ø 150/33, one Ø 90/33 and one Ø 75/33 extruder. Film, trimmed to a width of 2,700 millimeters at a mechanical line speed of 350 meters per minute (m/min) maximum, is rolled on SML’s 1200 series turret winder.

A five-up stretch film line for industrial pallet stretch wrap features two Ø 120/33 and two Ø 60/28 extruders, extrudes 1,860 kg/hr, has a maximum mechanical speed of 600 m/min, and is equipped with the company’s 3000 series bleed trimless winder.
