Strandberg Launches Microwave Moisture Sensor

Strandberg Engineering Laboratories Inc., a Greensboro, N.C.-based provider of sensors and controls for process automation, has introduced the Microwave Moisture Sensor Type 9900. The sensor employs the latest microwave reflectance technology to measure web and bulk material moisture levels from very dry to full saturation. It can be used in a variety of applications, such as measuring wet pickup on sizing machines and padders; moisture after atomizer spraying; and residual moisture on fabrics and carpets after drying; among other applications.

This non-contact moisture sensor supplies a linear output signal that can be connected to the Moisture Monitor Model 7701 Indication Controller or to programmable logic controllers and other instrumentation.
