Leigh Fibers Inc., Wellford, S.C., a producer of reprocessed textile waste and fiber by-products, now offers a fire-retardant (FR) shoddy comprising 100-percent recycled material and FR aramids. SafeLeigh™ FR Shoddy complies with flammability standards including those for automotive interior materials; is a cost-effective material for use in trunk liners, headliners, upholstery backing, interior acoustical departments and interior engine components; and also is eco-friendly, as chemical treatments and associated drying times are eliminated. It also is compatible with all common forming systems.
