Amacoil Upgrades Large Uhing RG Traverse Drives
Amacoil Inc., Aston, Pa., has added a 100-notch scale to the pitch adjustment control on the Uhing
RG50, RG60 and RG80 traverse winding drives.
The drives now feature a 10:1 linear pitch range that may be adjusted over 100 notched settings by moving the pitch control lever up or down. The range may be shifted up or down by changing the gear ratio between the take-up spool shaft and the traverse shaft.
Large Uhing RG traverse drives are suitable for winding thick cable, heavy rope and chain onto wide, large-diameter flanged spools and reels; and also can be used in packaging and converting equipment and other machinery needing a reciprocating linear motion component. The drives feature rolling ring engineering, which allows mechanically controlled reversal.
