DuPont To Increase Kevlar® Colored Yarn Capacity

Richmond, Va.-based DuPont Protection Technologies will add production capacity for colored DuPont™ Kevlar® yarn at its plant in Richmond.

Kevlar yarn is produced in black, red, orange, green and blue in addition to its natural yellow color. The colored yarns are used in cut- and heat-resistant gloves, military apparel, firefighter turnout gear and flame-resistant industrial and racing apparel, as well as in kayaks and Motorola smartphones.
