Saving Costs - Conserving Resources

New approaches to sustained textile manufacturing and processing.
At the ITMA in Barcelona, from the 22nd - 29th September, Mahlo GmbH & Co.KG will feature in Hall H6, on Stand H6-A107, an area of nearly 300m², the very last word in innovative monitoring and control technology. The theme „Saving Costs - Conserving Resources" will dominate the stand. Traditionally committed to the optimization of textile processes, Mahlo has utilized synergetic effects and adapted its products to suit in order to do equal justice to textile-related and other industries too. In doing so, Mahlo underscored once again its role as global leader in the manufacture of control systems for the textile industry - without restricting itself to it. Mahlo offers its customers a wider range of options to help increase profitability and value added by saving resources such as energy, raw materials and labour, and optimizing at the same time product quality and processing.

The booth is divided into the topical areas straightening, process control and product inspection. A model of a high-end product inspection with complete winding technology will be presented at the "Inspection Area". Here the product inspection system WEBSCAN WIS-12 monitors running product webs for flaws at up to 120 m/min. The COLORSCAN CIS-12 monitors the colour metrics and detects any colour deviation. Furthermore, the SAMPLECUT FSC-12 is presented at the "Inspection Area"; this is an automatic sample cutter able to remove product samples at full production speed.

A large demonstration system with circulating product is located at the "Straightening Area". Systems for distortion detection and control such as the ORTHOPAC RVMC-12 - offering modular extensions for a complete process control system - are working there. The high-end straightening system ORTHOPAC XRVMC-12 can also be admired there. It offers a new concept for the processing of high-quality textiles with large distortion dynamics.

The ORTHOFACT RMB-12A is presented as the absolute innovation. The active needle straightening system removes asymmetric distortions which have always presented a major challenge with textiles. The ORTHOMAT MFZE-12 also constitutes a complete innovation. The multifunction straightening system is able to straighten, spread and centre at the same time. And all this with minimum space requirements. The ORTHOPAC CRVMC-12 is a novelty in the area of carpets and technical textiles. A new type of roller positioning drive presents many advantages. For example, there are no more idle times during swinging over from the one to the other distortion direction.

The topics of energy savings and sustained handling of resources are also presented at the "Process Control Area". The traversing quality control system QUALISCAN QMS-12 ensures process optimisation, especially with the finishing of product webs. Important parameters such as residual or exhaust air moisture at the stenter can be controlled with the modular process control system OPTIPAC VMC-12. The cylinder drier control ATMOSET SMT-12 provides up to 50% of energy savings during the drying process.

The culinary aspects are also liberally covered: The Mahlo Team expects its guests and friends of the company at the generous and cosy "saveEnergy Bar".
