Conover, N.C.-based Nufabrx® has partnered with Founder’s Hemp, Asheboro, N.C., to create a compression sleeve garment named Hemp Squeeze featuring CBD oil from Founder’s Hemp infused into the fibers of the Nufabrx yarn. Hemp Squeeze, which was under development for three years, will be launched nationally during the first quarter of 2020.
Founder and CEO of Founder’s Hemp Bob Crumley hopes linking hemp with textile applications will help remove the stigma surrounding hemp. “We want to get people thinking more about how hemp can be used to help grow other industries,” he said. “We’re taking a brand new industry — hemp — and taking an old industry — textile — and we’re using new technology to help rejuvenate textiles in North Carolina,” Crumley added.
