CORDOVA, Tenn. — February 16, 2022 — Nathan Reed, a Marianna, Ark., cotton producer, was elected chairman of the American Cotton Producers (ACP) of the National Cotton Council (NCC) for 2022, during the NCC’s recent 2022 Annual Meeting.
He has served as an ACP vice chairman and on multiple ACP committees. He also is a past NCC director, has served on various NCC committees and task forces. He currently serves on the NCC’s Farm Policy Task Force and its Farm Program & Economic Policy Committee.
Elected as ACP vice chairmen were: Adam Hatley, Mesa, Ariz.; Jon Whatley, Odem, Texas; and Matt Coley, Vienna, Ga.
Elected as ACP producer directors were David Dunlow, Gaston, N.C., representing the Southeast; Patrick Johnson, Tunica, Miss., representing the Mid-South; and Gary Martin, Firebaugh, Calif., representing the West. Doyle Schniers of San Angelo, Texas, was re-elected as a director representing the Southwest. Nathan Reed will serve as the ACP’s at-large director.
Serving as ACP state producer chairmen in 2022 will be : Alabama – Nick McMichen, Centre; and Shep Morris, Sr., Shorter; Ariz. – Jerry Rovey and K.C. Gingg, both of Buckeye; Ark. – Matt Hyneman, Jonesboro; Calif. – Bryan Bone, Bakersfield; Fla. – Nick Marshall, Baker; Ga. – Lee Cromley, Brooklet; and Chad Mathis, Jr., Arlington; Kan. – Stuart Briggeman, Pratt; and Dan Metz, Oxford; La. – Heath Herring, St. Joseph, and Jason Condrey, Lake Providence; Miss. – Ted Kendall, IV, Bolton; Mo./Ill. – Rich Vinson, Sikeston, Mo.; New Mexico – Dean Calvani, Carlsbad; N.C. – Brad Warren, Faison; and Kent Smith, Rocky Mount; Okla. – Mark Nichols, Altus; and Phil Bohl, Faxon; S.C. – James Johnson, Mayesville; and Daniel Baxley, Dillon; Tenn./Ky. – Jason Luckey, Humboldt, Tenn.; Texas – Matthew Huie, Beeville; Richard Gaona, Roby; Brent Nelson, Sudan; and Stacy Smith, Wilson; and Va. – J.W.
