BRADFORD, England — September 20, 2023 — Yorkshire-based textile manufacturer Standeven has proudly launched its latest collection, Stonedale Flannel. It is the company’s first official collection to be made entirely from 100-percent Responsible Wool Standard (RWS) accredited wool.
Stonedale Flannel marks a significant milestone for Standeven, which has been steadily integrating RWS accredited yarn into its fabric collections for years aligning with its dedication to environmental responsibility and ethical sourcing.
RWS is an international voluntary standard certification for wool farmers and sellers that aims to improve the welfare of sheep and the land they graze on. To achieve certification, companies must meet rigorous animal welfare, land management and social requirements and provide a fully traceable chain of custody.

The ethnical collection consists of 21 new cloths inspired by the diverse Yorkshire landscape. Using colors that combine elements of the industrial skyline found in cities like Leeds and Bradford, with the breathtaking beauty of the Yorkshire Dales. The collection’s classic and capsule range features an array of melange plains, striking chalk stripes, and elegant checks and have a weight of 450 grams per square meter.
As part of Standeven’s ongoing commitment to sustainability, the company is certified and taking various measures to minimize its environmental footprint. These initiatives include responsible water and energy usage, waste reduction, and eco-friendly manufacturing processes, making them a pioneering force in the textile industry.
