France-based Chomarat has announced plans to expand its facility in Tunisia to increase multiaxial glass fiber reinforcement capacity for the wind turbine market in response to a new large contract for such products.
“Increasing our production capacity and expanding our facilities is just the first step,” said Raphael Pleynet, head of Chomarat’s Composites Europe business. “We are going to pursue our development by offering a competitive range designed for the wind turbine sector and all other high-volume markets such as the transportation and marine industries.”
In other company news, Chomarat recently signed a distribution agreement with Australia-based GMS Composites. The agreement will enable Chomarat to expand its range through dry and pre-impregnated reinforcement supplier GMS.
